Product Lighting
It's funny with all the models I have encountered in my photography career, my favorite of all is the one that is always on time, well prepared, already dressed to impress, and doesn't need a lot to get themselves together. You got it my favorite model is inanimate objects! This is probably the most interesting and exciting photography to do. "In Studio Product Lighting." If you have had a lighting class or had any training with studio equipment, you know there is much more to lighting that meets the eye. It does take preparation on the photographers part. Coming up with a concept is the first step. Next having the lighting that you desire in a visual form or and idea that has probably been used won't hurt for our first timers. Select a sample of lighting from a magazine ad or article. Then follow through with an appropriate subject. Perfume bottles, Jewelry, Watches, Shoes, Hand Bags or my personal favorite, TOYS!!! Keep in mind colors, location of light and how to enhance colors that already exist on the product. The use of Color Gels are very effective for a successful execution of your product. Be accurate and sure about positioning. We'll thats all for now, so take a look at what I have done.
Thanks for stopping by.

When shooting who says you have to be dressed up to the nine, hey sometimes you just have to be comfortable. This particular shoot I did with Nicki was just to create a commercial look. We needed something playful and sexy at the same time with out getting into lingerie. So lets go with boxers and a tank top. Comfy pillows and sheets with a fold out futon to make it complete. Make it simple and just shoot!

The Photographer????
Have you ever wondered who the photographer is? I mean really have you ever wondered who the guy behind the camera really is besides a picture taker, or moment catcher? Some individuals just plan their day according to what they need. Nine times out of ten the needs they want are driven by what influences them most. Not the fact that they need it, but the sheer fact that the moment they are in requires them to participate in whatever the flow is pushing them to. I have done several shoots and I feel like I get to know the models that I work with. I know who the are and who they are in love with. What they like and how their day went. I know who supports their career choice and what motivates them to be who they are. I know their role models and favorite model spread in a magazine. The question I still pose is, do you really get to know your photographer the way you should? It's funny how people talk about creepy men with cameras waiting to get you in the studio to take awful photos of you. Do you really research the person you are going to have take images for your portfolio? I only ask is because everyday we allow people into our lives who can either make a positive or negative influence on us. We take it for granted that everyone is cool and respectable. In a disrespectful world we nonchalantly walk around like we are indestructible and nothing can happen to us. I invite you all who desire to work with me to get to know me as a person. I am easy going, fun, creative. A caring person with ideas that will move you. From beginning to end my job is to help you find that pose, that shot that will help you make it. The one that will give you confidence in yourself so you can progress and succeed. What are your dreams? Why do you want to model? How can you achieve it? Let me help you get to where you are going. Lets make something happen. Let's make something worth keeping. Let's build your book and redefine what is fashion in this industry. I am here if you would like to work with me? I am Jean Claude and I am THE PHOTOGRAPHER.

PHOTOSHOPPED!!!

Sometimes images just need a lil creativity to make the images come to life. Well on this particular adventure of mine I decided to let it all loose and no holds barred. I took the time to plan out my attack on these poor unknowing models. They allowed me to shoot them, but what they didn't know was that they were part of the ploy to CREATIVITY!!!! Letting my imagination run wild I just took what I learned in my classes eons ago and mixed it in with what I call Photoshop MASTER TECHNIQUES and made a masterpiece of my own. Well actually I made several, but Im only gonna show you 1. Take a gander at this transformation. As you can see what began as a head shot was converted into a metal mask. I took the time to sample several facial images of robots, cyborgs, action heroes, and fictional characters well known to the public. I decided to stick with the Autobot Symbol. It was very popular because Transformers 2 was coming out in theaters soon so I wanted something current. Without giving too many of my secrets I resized the image to fit the size of my subject. While copying and cutting different layers of hair to add the realness to the image. Using different layer masks to help make the transition effective I was able to create this finished product.

GO GREEN!

Time to light it up. So you want to get down with colored back drops? Well in the professional world of high fashion Photography it's really a "No No", to use such bright colors as back rounds. Instead the models themselves should wear bright colors to make the image pop. I love to go against the grain so lets begin with green!! Shooting with Amanda was a whole lot of fun. She is very energetic happy and ready for what ever. My kind of model. It also helps that she is a dancer and has a great body. Really toned and very flexible. But this shot was all fun and games. We want colors that would pop with the green back drop so we picked white and red.

Have A Seat!!!

Early in my Miami Photography life. I was happy to come across a wonderful person named Lauren. She was one of many women who wanted to shoot. She had an extreme look, but unfortunately the agencies that wanted her to sign recommended that she cut her hair. Seems reasonable enough, but her hair was her pride and joy. She had been growing it over 7 years. Her look was unique and very edgy. The more we sat and talked I realized that sometimes it's more than just hair it was who she was. She was a laid back hipster with the mentality of an old cool cat from the late 60's. She had a don't mess with me attitude, but a gentle smile that made you wanna see if she had what it took or was she just talking jive. Anyhow we had a blast shooting just Lauren in my favorite chair.
